Alaska Airlines Unveiled the Bold Expansion Plans and Bold Look

Alaska Airlines announced its global expansion plans with two new transatlantic routes and a stunning new livery. Starting in spring 2026, the airline will offer daily nonstop flights from its Seattle hub to London Heathrow and a summer-only daily service to Reykjavik (Iceland).

The airline introduced a new livery for its fleet of 17 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The design (inspired by the aurora borealis) blends its cultural heritage with future growth. It aligns with Alaska Airlines' 2030 vision: Connect 12 intercontinental destinations.

Alaska Airlines strategically positions Seattle as a global hub. The hometown airport in Seattle is fast connecting the local travelers and world tourism enthusiasts. The entire 17 widebody 787 Dreamliner aircraft will feature the new design to push Alaska Airline’s tactical push into the global skies.

"With our new 787 exterior, we're eager for more travelers to recognize us for our heritage and values," said Andrew Harrison, Alaska Airlines Chief Commercial Officer.

The announcement marks a new era for Alaska Airlines. It offered us a look at the glorious past and a peep into the future- Something promising and inspiring to look forward to.
